      <image:title>About - I’m Layne and I’m here to be your guide.</image:title>
<image:caption>Not someone with all the answers, and not someone who's figured it all out, but someone who has walked far enough along this road to hold space for you while you walk yours. My work is relational and depth-oriented. Anything but clinical. The space I hold with my clients is warm, honest, supportive, and real. I show up in my full humanness as a learner, and the only thing I ask of you is that you're willing to be a learner too. The work we do happens inside this co-created space. I won't be doing the work for you. I'll be walking beside you while you meet yourself, often for the first time in a long time, sometimes for the first time ever. And what we build together doesn't end when our sessions do. It echoes outward. It keeps unfolding in your life long after our time together is complete.</image:caption>

<image:caption>On the outside, you're holding it all together. On the inside, you're running on fumes. You've already tried the usual things. Talk therapy. Journaling. Self-help books stacked by the bed. What's been missing is the opportunity to work with your body, not just your mind. My clients are high-achieving, self-aware, and tired of understanding themselves without actually feeling different. Together, we get to know your nervous system. What it's holding. How to build real safety from the inside out. This is integrative, body-based therapy. Slower. Deeper. And it might be exactly what's been missing for you. — Layne Paul, MSW RSW</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Why this work, with me</image:title>
<image:caption>When you choose Align Within Wellness, you work directly with me. Every session, start to finish. This matters because research consistently shows the therapeutic relationship is the greatest predictor of real, lasting change. Who you work with matters as much as the work itself. What I offer is personalized, relational, and grounded in clinical training. We don't rush. We build the kind of safety that lets your nervous system actually settle and from there, we work to bridge the gap between what you know in your mind and what you feel in your body. That's where integration happens. That's where things start to shift. If you've been looking for therapy that feels personal, paced, and genuinely yours, this is it. <image:title>Approach</image:title>
<image:caption>Many of us were taught that healing means figuring out what's wrong and fixing it. That if we just understood ourselves better, read the right book, found the right framework, we'd finally feel like ourselves. But for a lot of the women I work with, that approach has already run its course. They've understood themselves intellectually for years. They can name their patterns, their triggers, their attachment style, the family system they grew up inside of. And they still feel like something is missing. That something is almost always the body. This work isn't about fixing yourself. It's about meeting yourself. Underneath the strategies, the productivity, the performance of okay-ness, there's a self you've been carrying for a long time. A nervous system that's been working hard to keep you safe. A body that's been holding what your mind didn't have language for. Real change doesn't happen by overriding any of it. It happens by turning toward it, slowly, honestly, and in a relationship that can hold the weight of what you find there. That's where we begin. LET’S CONNECT →</image:caption>

      <image:title>Approach</image:title>
<image:caption>Many us come to therapy hoping to be fixed. To finally figure out what's wrong, do the right work, and come out the other side as a better version of ourselves. I don't think that's what healing is. The work isn't about fixing yourself. It's not about performing healing, or becoming good enough, or earning your way into a life you actually want. It's about something quieter and harder than that. It's about meeting yourself. And then, slowly, learning to stay with yourself.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Approach</image:title>
<image:caption>There's a distinction I keep coming back to in my own life and in the work I do with clients. Choosing yourself isn't the same as connecting with yourself. Choosing yourself can look like setting a boundary, leaving the job, ending the relationship, saying no. Those things matter. But underneath them, there's a deeper layer most of us were never taught how to access — the part where you actually turn toward the self you've been choosing for, and meet her there.</image:caption>

<image:title>Therapy for Anxiety in Kelowna | Align Within Wellness - You're the one who seems to have it all figured out.</image:title>
<image:caption>The one people lean on, the one who follows through. And underneath, you're tired in a way sleep doesn't fix. Your mind doesn't stop. You're already three steps ahead of the conversation, replaying what you said, planning what's next. Your jaw is tight and your shoulders live somewhere near your ears. You fall asleep exhausted and wake up already bracing. From the outside, you look fine. Maybe even great. You're successful, capable, dependable. People wouldn't describe you as anxious, they'd describe you as driven. But you know the truth. The low hum underneath it all. The way rest doesn't feel restful. The way you can't quite land in your own body, even when nothing's wrong. You've tried to think your way out of it. You understand yourself on an intellectual level and you can articulate exactly what's happening in your mind. And still, here you are.</image:caption>

<image:title>Therapy for Anxiety in Kelowna | Align Within Wellness - This work is slower, and that's the point.</image:title>
<image:caption>Anxiety doesn't unwind under pressure. It unwinds in safety. In a relationship that doesn't rush you, in a room that doesn't expect you to perform, at a pace that lets your nervous system actually catch up. We work with what you're thinking and what your body is holding, at the same time. That means we talk about what's happening in your life and what patterns you're noticing. But we also listen to your body. What it's holding. Where it's tight. What it's been trying to tell you that you've been too busy to hear. You'll learn to tune into your own nervous system, to notice the difference between activation and rest, between bracing and being. We use breath, somatic awareness, and grounded body-based practices to help your system experience what safety actually feels like, not just understand it intellectually. The goal isn't to never feel anxious again. It's to build a relationship with your body where anxiety doesn't run the show, where you can feel it rise, and know how to meet it. This is slower work than you're used to. It moves at the pace of trust. And one day, almost without noticing, you realize you haven't been bracing in weeks.</image:caption>

<image:title>Therapy for Anxiety in Kelowna | Align Within Wellness - A note from Layne.</image:title>
<image:caption>If you've made it this far, something on this page probably felt familiar. That's not nothing. It means something in you is asking for more. The work I do is slower than what's typical. It's relational, body-based, and built around the fact that you're not a problem to fix. You're a whole person learning to come home to yourself, in a body that's been working overtime to keep you safe. If that sounds like the kind of work you've been looking for, I'd love to meet you.
